SKILLFUL MEANS VOTED #1

Skillful Means Marketing again earned recognition in the latest readership poll by Legal Times. The Washington DC area legal publication asked its readers to voice their opinion by identifying the best vendors in the legal space—from consultants to law schools. Skillful Means was voted the #1 service provider in Lawyer/Law Firm Business Development & Coaching in the greater Washington DC area. “Moving to the #1 slot on the list is absolutely thrilling,” was Mary Carmel Kaczmarek’s reaction when notified by Legal Times. Skillful Means has been providing coaching and training in business development and practice growth since Mary founded the firm in 2004. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, the firm has worked with hundreds of lawyers and other professionals around the country and internationally. The firm also works with law firms’ professional staff in a program —Coach the Coach®—to help team members enhance their value to their organizations by adopting powerful internal coaching skiils.

Tim Henderson, Chief Recruitment & Professional Development Officer at Finnegan, Henderson Farabow Garrett & Dunner, commented: “Having worked closely with Mary and Skillful Means Marketing, our lawyers tell me that she is among the best in the legal industry. I am thrilled—but not surprised—to see she is receiving the recognition she deserves.”

December 11-12, New Orleans

Mary will be speaking to professional development leaders of law firm members of Lex Mundi, one of the world’s leading network of independent law firms with in-depth experience in 100+ countries and access to more than 21,000 lawyers worldwide. The focus of her comments will be on how coaching attorneys in a systemic way can make a difference to a firm’s bottom line, not only in the short run but for years down the road. She will present an overview of a proven methodology for assessing, planning and coaching attorneys on an individual or practice basis and discuss how to implement a program within a firm.
